Dr. Chaojie Gu received B.Eng. degree from Harbin Institute of Technology in 2016 and his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He previously served as a Research Fellow at the Singtel Cognitive and Artificial Intelligence Lab for Enterprise (SCALE). Currently, he is a tenure-track Assistant Professor (awarded the ZJU 100 Young Professorship) at the College of Control Science and Engineering, Zhejiang University (ZJU), and Deputy Director of the Institute of Industrial Process Control at ZJU.
His research focuses on Internet of Things (IoT) systems, with expertise in Industrial IoT, Low Power Wide Area Networks, and Mobile Computing. He serves as an Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics (TII) and IEEE Internet of Things Journal (IoT-J). He is also Secretary of the IEEE P2805.4 Standard Working Group and a voting member of the IEEE P3179 Standard Working Group. Dr. Gu received the NSFC Excellent Young Scientists Fund (Overseas), IEEE TCSC Award for Excellence (Early Career Researcher), IEEE HPCC Best Paper Award, IEEE MSN Best Student Paper Award, and IEEE RCAR Best Student Paper Finalist.
